STEELLEX understands the importance of environmental management and have introduced sustainable practices in order to improve our environmental performance and minimize the impact of our business on the environment. We aim to make continuous improvements to our waste output and environmental awareness, and believe that good waste management and many small methods combined have the potential to make a real difference. We also undertake to balance our economic, environmental and social responsibilities to ensure that our activities have a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work.

All STEELLEX workshops have achieved certification to the international standard ISO14001. In addition, we have developed an Environmental Policy Statement to ensure we comply with relevant statutory obligations and meet the required standards of environmental performance and reporting.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

Senior staff members have been briefed on their requirements in order to comply with STEELLEX stated environmental policy and will in turn, ensure that every individual within the Company are aware of their environmental duties.

Ongoing employee training and conduct of environmental audits, confirming best practice are two other key areas of Cairns Steel Fabricators Pty Ltd environmental policy.

Recycling and waste minimisation procedures, as well as the responsible disposal of waste products will be regularly reviewed and continually re-assessed, to embrace new technologies, which will enhance the environmental performance.
